Make Do and Mend Workshop [RC] {A11}

Come along to this interactive session to learn tips and techniques for making the most from your wardrobe and home furnishings. Based on advice issued by the British Ministry of Information during WWII, on keeping a frugal but stylish home, we'll help you find simple ways to upcycle and reuse your tired textiles. A small selection of homemade textiles from our museum collection will also be on display.

Please bring a small textile item that you would like to repair/upcycle and a packed lunch. Basic sewing materials, DIY apron kit and morning refreshments will be provided.
