Recent archaeological survey work in Upper Glen Cannich [IN] {A102}
26 September 2022
Starts: 19:30
Ends: 21:00

Roland Spencer-Jones of NoSAS will present results of recent archaeological survey work in Upper Glen Cannich. Members of NoSAS travelled to the west end of former Loch Lungard, where an intrepid walker had discovered a collection of hut circles that had been revealed by the low water level. This part of Upper Glen Cannich is now exceedingly hard to get to, and yet contains some interesting history and archaeology. Five hut circles in total were surveyed, a new cup-marked stone identified and other surrounding structures recorded. Roland will bring together the stories, heritage, and now archaeology that relate to this remote glen.

Venue: Marydale Hall, Cannich
