One day conference highlighting new discoveries and research, organised by Highland Council Historic Environment Team
The annual Recent Archaeological Discoveries and Research conference organised by Highland Council Historic Environment Team returns after an absence of 2 years. The one-day event highlights new discoveries and research relating to Highland archaeology. As usual topics range from earliest settlers to the 20th century remains, looking at sites, buildings, finds and intangible heritage.
Venue: Council Chambers, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness. There are good audio-visiual facilities and comfortable seating.
During the breaks there will be a number of displays from organisations and museums, and poster sessions (details available on the day).
Bring a packed lunch, or there are shops and cafes within a short distance of the venue. Entrance is via the glass doors at the west side of the venue. Be sure to get a parking permit when you register.
Please book in advance via Eventbrite. Tickets are £25 or £15 for full time students, and includes booking fees, coffees and teas.
