Evanton Wood: Past, present, future [RC]

Join Adrian Clark (Secretary, Evanton Community Wood) for a walk & talk including the ancient woodland by gorge, early plantings (plus their slave plantation connections), gaelic names, estate management, community ownership and visit the new ponds and stone seat. Meet at 10.20am Evanton Carpark or 10.30 Evanton Wood Log Cabin (2 mins walk in from Chapel footpath entrance, at top of Chapel Road) (NH595 665). A visit to Blackrock Gorge will also be included if of interest. (We can also signpost people to nearby archaeology at Carn Liath (MHG8967) and Drumore for those interested after event).

Free/donations welcome. Wheelchair accessible in part, from the log cabin to the pond. Children welcome with adults, dogs welcome if on leads. Bring a packed lunch if you wish to extend the walk. Walk level 1.
