Wick Heritage Museum will be open for Doors Open Day and HAF on 29th September.
The Wick Heritage Museum is home to a vast collection of artefacts and photographs depicting the history of Wick and its herring fishing industry.
The museum is housed in the original Telford designed houses and fishing yards built by the British Fisheries Society in the early 1800s, now a Category “A” listed building.
Along with many artefacts relating to the town’s history, it is also home to the Johnston Photographic Collection of some 45,000 images, many depicting the hey days of the herring fishing industry.
